Independent Study: An Introduction

Nothing illustrates the strength of Wooster’s commitment to mentored undergraduate research as the year-long project every senior embarks on: the Senior Independent Study — or just “I.S.”

This research endeavor showcases each students’ unique interests and contributions, and has been part of campus culture since its conception in the 1940s.  I.S. projects offer a window to the Wooster community, and how student interests and passions have changed over time.  In this video, students, faculty, staff, and the Wooster community celebrate seniors' accomplishments on "I.S. Monday."
