Line 1 Having become acquainted with the design & char-
Line 2 acter of the Lane Theological Seminary, we cheerfully
Line 3 recommend it to the benevolent as needing &
Line 4 deserving their liberal patronage. Its plan em-
Line 5 braces a course of study similar to that of our
Line 6 best Theological Seminaries; its system of manual
Line 7 labor is well fitted for a new country & its loca-
Line 8 tion in the heart of the west will afford peculiar fa-
Line 9 cilities of usefulness throughout the whole extent of
Line 10 the great Western Valley. We therefore regard its object
Line 11 as one of common interest to all who feel the im-
Line 12 portance of systematic efforts to furnish the
Line 13 means of a thorough education for the Christian
Line 14 ministry in the Western States.
